How to Get Unstuck in Life: Aycee Brown on Manifestation, Self-Rejection, and Embodying Your Magic

I’ve felt it before and I know you have too. A sense of stuckness. That feeling like you know what you want but you're somehow unable to move toward it. Or worse — you're not even sure what you want anymore because you've spent so long saying yes to things you don't actually want.

So when I sat down with spiritual guide and psychic medium Aycee Brown for this week's episode, I knew we were about to get into it. And we certainly did.

You're Not Stuck, You're Just Not Clear

Here's what Aycee said that hit me: "You're not stuck. You're just not clear."

Most of us already know what we want. We're just afraid to say it out loud. Maybe because it doesn't fit what everyone around us is doing. Maybe because it sounds too big or too shallow or too different. But the truth is, every time we deny ourselves what we actually desire to be more palatable or acceptable, we're adding another layer of self-rejection.

And that self-rejection? That's what creates the perpetual stuckness we feel in our bodies, our work, our relationships.

What Self-Rejection Actually Looks Like

Aycee broke this down with the simplest example: ice cream. If someone brings you a beautiful strawberry ice cream cake and you hate strawberries but say nothing? That's self-rejection. And now every birthday for the next three years, you're getting strawberry cake because you never told anyone the truth.

This happens in romantic relationships all the time. We stay silent about what we need because we're afraid of loss. We accept roses when we actually love peonies. We say yes to plans we don't want to do. We shrink our desires to fit someone else's vision.

But here's the thing — you can't stand on business with others if you're not standing on business for yourself first.

Your Body Tells You Everything You Need to Know

One of the most powerful parts of our conversation was when Aycee talked about how your body knows everything. Every time you walk into a room and feel uneasy, every time you're around someone and your stomach tightens — that's data. Your nervous system is your first line of defense.

If you're confused about a decision, Aycee recommends this practice: Lay flat on the floor with your back against a hard surface. Breathe deeply. Ask yourself the question over and over. Then get silent and notice how your body responds. The answer is already there.

Babies and dogs are the most psychic beings on earth because they can't talk — they only have their bodies to guide them. You have that same power. You've just been conditioned to override it.

The Decentering Men Conversation (And Why Honesty Matters)

We also got into the whole decentering men conversation, and Aycee had a take I really appreciated. She's not against women finding fulfillment outside of relationships — in fact, she's all for it. Women can birth businesses, books, creative projects, travel experiences, and so much more outside of our wombs.

But here's where it gets tricky: If you actually want a relationship, you need to be honest about that. Don't lie and say you're decentering men because everyone else is or because it's trendy. If you want partnership, say that. If you want marriage and kids, say that. If you don't, say that too.

The goal isn't to stop wanting what you want. It's to stop making your desires your master.

Start With Clarity

So if you're feeling stuck right now, start here: Tell yourself the truth. One decision at a time. One choice at a time. Get clear about what you actually want — not what you think you're supposed to want.

Because the clearer you are, the easier it is for the universe to bring it to you. And the easier it is for you to recognize it when it shows up.
